OILING
SYSTEM
The oiling system is a ring gear scraper/cup attached to the pinion support.

The scraper and "cup" supply oil to the pinion bearings at all speeds.

Oil is also added to the cup and pocket bearing as the ring and pinion mesh together.

In front applications the oil scraper/cup will not be there as it would block oil flow. There are two
different oil fill level plugs depending on front or rear application. The lower plug is for stock rear
applications and the higher plug is for front applications. ALWAYS fill your diff to the NON-reamed
out fill hole plug.

These next pictures are of the oil scraper system, which will
only be used for rear applications.
